There are numerous tangible and intangible reasons to join SAMCo. With a commitment to keeping transportation financing at the forefront of local public policy, the benefits for SAMCo members are limited only by the ideas and can-do attitude of the association’s membership. SAMCo has served as an advocate for the consideration of alternative modes of transportation financing and planning since its inception. From being the catalyst for the Advanced Transportation District, to educating local policymakers on the merits of pass-through financing, to bringing together all local transportation planners in an effort to collectively address some of the community’s most challenging transportation issues, SAMCo provides its members with the ability to shape public transportation policy and outcomes. SAMCo members help shape public policy on transportation improvements at the local, state and federal levels and help maintain San Antonio's transportation infrastructure.
